June 17-21 | Ages 5-8

10-11 am | $115

Campers will be introduced to the basics of carpentry with licensed Wake County Carpentry Teacher, Carl Robbins (a.k.a. Carl the Carpenter).  This camp will include topics such as woodshop safety, PPE (personal protective equipment), an introduction to construction math using the tape measure, basic hand tools and best practices.  This is a hands-on camp and all lessons will be taught while campers build two of their very own window box herb gardens.  Activities include, but not limited to, measuring, cutting, adhering, and finishing the herb garden box with a faux-wood stain.

Please send your child with sunscreen and a labeled water bottle each day.

The world around us is filled with fascinating creatures and plants that come in all colors, shapes and sizes!  We’ll make observations by the lake, cultivate plants in the learning garden, look at bugs under the microscope and use natural materials to create lots of surprising works of art.

Please send your child with sunscreen, a labeled water bottle and snack each day. We will spend a lot of time outside so dress accordingly. Each child will also receive a nature kit to continue the fun at home!
